Her expertise is focused on orthopedic and musculoskeletal biomechanics in scenarios including falls, vehicle crashes, sports and recreational injuries, and failed medical implants or devices, among others.
Dr. Williams is a visiting professor at Rush University Medical Center and adjunct professor at the University of Illinois, Chicago in its Department of Bioengineering. Prior to joining RFI, she was the Assistant Director of the Orthopaedic Biomech lab at Rush. She’s written for publications such as the Journal of Biomechanics, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Spine. Among her numerous presentations are those to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the International Society of Biomechanics and the Orthopedic Research Society.
Dr. Williams is a member of the Orthopedic Research Society, the American Society of Biomechanics and the American Council on Exercise, amongst a number of professional affiliations.
