Erin is a two-time national champion (2003 & 2006) with the American Motorcyclist Association with over 30 years of experience of operation, design and maintenance of both on and off-road motorcycles. His professional work on motorcycles has included motorcycle incident investigations coast-to-coast in the United States and Canada.
As a Project Engineer for the Automotive Testing Laboratories, he completed testing for motorcycle and automotive OEM’s dealing with engines, emissions, vehicle components, and alternative fuels. For the Transportation Research Center, he managed motorcycle and automotive programs in the areas of emissions, performance and durability.
Erin is a Professional Engineer registered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and is licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Florida. He’s a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, ASTM International, the American Motorcyclist Association, Western Eastern Roadracing Association and the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association.

- Bicycle Failure - Experts Investigate Bicycle Component Failure
A bicycle rider was catastrophically injured when he crashed a composite-framed, road bicycle. After the crash, the front fork (with wheel) and the right crankarm (with pedal) were found detached from the bicycle. The roadway in the area of the crash was unremarkable and not consistent with causing the crash. Robson Forensic was retained to determine if the bicycle was defective in a manner that caused the crash.

- Motorcycle - Automobile Collision - Expert Opinion Supports Defense Verdict
A motorcycle collided with the rear of an automobile near an intersection on a multi-lane roadway. The plaintiff motorcyclist alleged that the defendant automobile driver turned right out of the intersection and directly into the right lane that the motorcyclist was traveling in. The automobile driver said that she pulled into the right lane when it was clear of traffic, but other traffic was in the left lane approaching the intersection. Eyewitness testimony was that the motorcyclist possibly changed lanes at the intersection and then collided with the rear of the automobile.
