Sports Supervision Expert

Gordon Schmidt’s expertise in sports equipment, fitness, athletic training and sports supervision is well grounded in more than 20 years in higher education both at home and abroad.  This experience includes administration, instruction, research, and publishing.

Dr. Schmidt is the chairman of the Exercise and Movement Sciences department at William Patterson University, and he has also taught at the University of Ottawa, the National Institute for Education in Singapore, Indiana University and the Indiana State Police. His teaching and research areas include musculoskeletal anatomy, exercise physiology, nutrition, fitness and exercise counseling, and the measurement and evaluation of individual performance.

Dr. Schmidt is well published and is an international lecturer for organizations like the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Association of Kinesiology and Physical Education in Higher Education. He is a member of the American Alliance of Health, and he holds certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Red Cross and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors.
