Winter Sports Expert

Helge comes by his expertise as much from personal enjoyment as professional experience. He is a current United States Ski Association master racing participant, as well as a member of both the Canadian and United States Ski Coach Associations. He also built and operated the Oregon Hill Nordic Ski Center and was general manager of the Denton Hill Ski Area.

He is able to apply civil engineering principals and ski-related skills to the investigation of ski and winter sports accidents. He’s investigated three dozen snow tubing, sledding, and tobogganing accidents and has conducted snowmobile crash reconstructions.

Helge is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, and is a Licensed Class II Amusement Facilities Inspector in Pennsylvania. He is a member of the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials and the Professional Ski Instructors of America.
