Tom can design, operate, and repair all manner of marine vessels, and he’s done so for 40 years in a leading capacity. He has worked closely with the United States Navy and Army on a variety of projects and can analyze everything from ship design and construction, to ship maintenance, repair and modifications.
He was engaged in a variety of engineering roles for nearly 25 years with the Military Sealift Command. Tom is a Naval-Marine Architect and was in charge of all engineering operations for a fleet of more than 200 ships in the Gulf War, and later he was principal advisor to the Commander of MSC for all ship engineering issues for an MSC fleet of 120 ships. He has gotten his hands dirty with marine power plants, HVAC, piping, refrigeration and electrical modifications.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from SUNY Maritime at Fort Schuyler and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic.
