John spent 28 years with the St. Louis Water Company (now Missouri-American Water Co.) as the Vice President of Engineering with specific tasks related to the design and construction of utility facilities for water treatment plants, storage tanks and pump stations.  He was the chairman of the company safety committee for ten years and performed in-house OSHA compliance inspections; designed guards, ladders and procedures; and taught trenching and shoring procedures. John also designed the cavitation chamber technology for water storage tanks which has become the industry standard.

More recently he has been a Construction and Project Manager for Landmark Contract Management, responsible for planning and oversight of major construction projects involving schools, office buildings, storm water systems and potable water systems.

John is a licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri, and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Water Works Association and the National Association of Water Companies.
