Bicycle Expert

For 15 years, Rich has been building, selling, repairing, riding, and maintaining all types of bicycles. He investigates issues involving bicycle design, component failure, and rider actions for custom, touring, road, commuting, and mountain bicycles.

Rich’s unique expertise comes from his application of his education as a materials engineer to full time professional work selling, building and repairing bicycles. He has hands on experience, both as an avid rider and 9 years of full time work in the bicycle industry. He has worked as a mechanic, frame builder, and owner of bicycle shops for nearly 10 years. His combination of industry understanding and materials science is tough to beat.

Rich has a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and extensive training in bicycle materials and design. He is also a member of the National Bicycle Dealer Association (NBDA).
