Environmental / Health & Safety Experts

Unearthing environmental issues.

Industrial, commercial, laboratory, and household activities leave their imprint on the environment. Uncontrolled releases of hazardous substances into the air, water, and soil cause health risks to the public. Our engineers, hydrogeologists, occupational safety professionals, toxicologists and certified industrial hygienists understand the federal and state requirements of RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, and FIFRA that prevent these uncontrolled releases. Our experts understand the application of OSHA, state regulations and other standards that provide necessary workplace safety requirements. Our experts have the knowledge of the “cradle to grave” cycle of waste generation, manifesting, treatment, and disposal of both solid and hazardous wastes for waste minimization, management, and treatment of hazardous substances that are protective of human health and the environment.

Specific expertise in diverse disciplines.

Environmental pollution claims can involve not only diverse media (air, water, soil) but diverse industries such as petrochemicals, mining, manufacturing, and transportation. Our experts investigate, test, and develop opinions about the processes, the hazardous substances and their by-products, modes of release, and their fate and transport in the media. We also analyze worker training issues and the availability and feasibility of control technologies. Our experts also provide expertise in Brownfield issues regarding the costs of remediating a contaminated or mothballed property and converting it to a new, environmentally safe use.
