Chemical Spill Practice Area
Oil / Chemical Spill Experts

There are approximately 55,000 merchant ships in the world today carrying cargo across the oceans, not including the inland, offshore oil, or small inter-island fleets. In the United States alone there are more than 25,000 miles of inland navigable waters filled with ships, tugs, and barges pushing and pulling all manner of cargo. Much of the liquid cargo transported on these vessels is supplied from aging tank farms constructed along the shore of rivers, lakes, or coast line.

In the course of handling this cargo, accidental and incidental discharges often occur resulting in serious environmental consequences. The maritime and environmental experts at Robson Forensic understand what is required to safely move, store, clean, and use petroleum products and the myriad of liquid chemical products transported over the waterways today. Our experts have relevant expertise to investigate and analyze improper discharges, providing a technical argument for the recovery of damages created by these uncontrolled releases.

The environmental group at Robson Forensic includes marine engineers, chemists, toxicologists, and occupational health experts who provide investigations, analysis, reports, and testimony where technical and scientific answers are needed in the resolution of litigation and claims as the result of a spill or incident.
