Alisa Marie Breneman, CFEI, CFII
Fire Origin & Cause Expert

Alisa is an expert in fire and explosion investigations. She has nearly 20 years of experience in fire service as a firefighter, EMT, and emergency vehicle driver. She provides investigations, reports, and testimony in matters involving personal injury or economic loss as they relate to fires and the actions of emergency responders.

Alisa has completed countless hours of training from various State and Federal organizations, including the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy. Her broad training background includes Fire Dynamics and Computer Modeling, Water Rescue and Emergency Response, Hazardous Materials Operations level, elevator rescue, and structural collapse.

Ms. Breneman holds National and State certifications in seven disciplines. She is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator, PA Certified Fire Investigator, Certified Fire Investigator Instructor, and Fire Service Instructor. She is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Association of Fire Investigators, as well as, a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of Arson Investigators. She was honored as Firefighter of the Year in 1998 for the Florin Fire Department in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.

    • CSST - Experts Investigate Fire in Upscale Home

      A fire broke out in a recently constructed upscale home during a heavy thunderstorm. Robson Forensic fire investigators were retained to investigate the fire and determine the origin and cause. Our investigator concluded that the origin of the fire was under the first floor where a hole was discovered in the flexible gas tubing. He determined that the hole had been created by a lightning strike. Based on these findings, additional Robson experts were engaged to determine if the work performed by the electrical contractor during the home’s construction was a cause of the hole in the gas tubing.
