Mike provides investigations, reports and testimony in matters involving premises safety, architect professional liability, standard of care and construction claims and defects. Mike is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, a former member of the State of Florida Board of Architecture & Interior Design, he still Chairs it’s Probable Cause Panel, a position held for over 8 years. He is also a member of various architectural and community organizations.
Mike has been active in the design and construction of buildings for more than 30 years and has worked on the full range of building types during that time. His built projects include everything from single family homes to hotels, to commercial and industrial facilities. Since 1990 Mike has run his own architectural practice, Rodriguez Architects, Inc., in South Florida.
Mike spent seven years as a lecturer at the University of Miami, School of Architecture and Florida International University, School of Architecture. He also teaches continuing education programs to architects, engineers, contractors, interior designers, and building officials. He has been awarded various professional honors from the American Institute of Architects as well as the Miami-Dade County Commission. Mike conducts casework on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants throughout Florida.

Miguel Rodriguez was recently awarded the Gold Medal, the highest honor that AIA Florida presents its members. The Gold Medal is awarded to an AIA member who, through his/her dedication and service, advance the profession by taking a leadership position on practice issues, broad-based advocacy and meaningful professional development.
