Stora’s commercial civil aviation expertise encompasses all aspects of small and large aircraft operations. His career began in 1966 while based in Anchorage, Alaska as a charter pilot and flight instructor. For the next 34 years, until retirement from a major worldwide airline, he flew many types of fixed wing aircraft including single and multi-engine reciprocating engine and multi-engine jet transport category aircraft.
In addition to the experience he amassed in airline operations as a pilot, Stora was also involved in aviation management throughout his career. He is well versed on ground and airborne management of flight operations and crew situations.
Since his retirement from airline flying, Stora has applied his comprehensive knowledge and experience as a consultant for aviation startup companies. One of his consulting projects involved establishing and operating a remote operations base in Cyprus during Operation Desert Shield. The project scope included tracking aircraft movements, supporting crew scheduling, and instructing flight crews on the use of hazmat suits and masks.
