Brian Kelly is an in industrial machinery expert with an impressive background in electrical generation and marine engineering. He applies his expertise to forensic casework involving machine guarding, and facilities operation and maintenance. Brian’s expertise extends to a wide range of industrial facilities as well as ships, boats, and other marine environments.
Brian’s professional experience includes nine years sailing as a licensed Merchant Marine Officer and twenty six years in nuclear power generation. Sailing as Chief Engineer, Brian has hands-on experience involving the full array of equipment and systems found on modern sailing vessels. In this role, Brian was responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of pumps, electric motors, controllers, diesel engines, hydraulic equipment, automatic controls and related components.
Brian was responsible for providing oversight and technical assistance for a wide array of mechanical equipment at five nuclear sites. Through his twenty six years of experience in power generation, Brian developed a thorough expertise involving industrial equipment, processes, and facilities.
Brian earned his engineering degree from SUNY Maritime College. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a member of the American Nuclear Society.
