David Beh, Civil Engineer & Construction Expert

David Beh is an expert in structural engineering with nearly two decades of professional experience in the design of buildings and a variety of other structures. He has specialized knowledge in wind, seismic, and vibration analysis as it relates to structural design requirements and failure analyses. David applies his expertise to forensic casework involving failed structures and failed structural components, construction defect claims, and professional liability disputes.

David Beh, P.E., MSCE - Civil Engineer & Construction Expert

The breadth of David’s expertise spans across small projects like the design of OSHA compliant stairs and ladders, to extensive new construction (notably, the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters) as well as restoration projects. His expertise extends to all common building materials, including concrete, steel, wood, and masonry, among others. David also has a wealth of experience seeing those design projects through the construction process. He has managed teams of engineers across multi-discipline projects, and he is well versed in both the Design/Bid/Build process and the Design/Build process.

David earned both his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in multiple states and an OSHA Scaffolding Competent Person. David is a volunteer member for the California Office of Emergency Services, Safety Assessment Program, which assesses the safety of buildings after earthquakes or other natural disasters. He was also appointed to a city position for the City of Portland Unreinforced Masonry Building Workgroup, which was responsible for recommending policy to city commissioners.
