Justin Ramsdell is a clinical psychologist and college professor who specializes in issues relating to mental health treatment in correctional/custodial environments, law enforcement interactions with individuals with severe mental illness, the ethical practice of psychology, risk of violent recidivism assessment, and abduction and captivity scenarios.
Dr. Ramsdell’s experience includes work in detention centers, prisons, and maximum-security mental hospitals. Additionally, he works with law enforcement Crisis Intervention Teams where he trains officers and emergency medical personnel on the severe mental illnesses they may encounter while working in the field.
Dr. Ramsdell holds masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology and is a licensed psychologist. He is also an Assistant Professor of psychology at George Mason University.
