Brett Scott Galambos, SCUBA Expert & Professional Educator

Brett Galambos has been involved in SCUBA diving and aquatics programs for more than three decades. He is a certified Lifeguard Instructor and SCUBA Instructor, as well as a Dive Master through numerous organizations including PADI, NAUI, SSI, and SDI/TDI. As a SCUBA Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor and Lifeguard, he has extensive experience with safety and supervision both in and out of the aquatic environment.

Brett has been an instructor for SCUBA Venture, Inc., and North East SCUBA Supply, providing instruction on all phases of recreational SCUBA diving and snorkeling. Brett has taught children and adults in addition to instructing courses involving snorkeling, altitude diving, deep water diving, wreck diving, ice diving, and the use of specialty gases such as Nitrox. He is also experienced and highly credentialed in Diving Emergency courses and proper emergency care for injured SCUBA divers and swimmers. His training includes the safe and appropriate use of diving equipment, adherence to safety guidelines, and he is responsible for individuals on chartered dive boats in the Atlantic Ocean and shore diving environments, including inlet dives.

Brett maintains his American Red Cross and New Jersey Boating certifications, and he is also an instructor for First Aid, CPR, and AED. He is a member of the National Education Association, The Professional Association of Underwater Instructors, National Association of Underwater Instructors, Scuba Schools International, Scuba Diving International/Technical diving International, and The American Red Cross.

Brett has worked with grades K-12 and has specialized training as an Intervention Behavior Specialist for “at risk” students. Brett has implemented behavior management plans, and is trained in safety and security measures within all learning environments. He is a trained SAP (Student Assistance Program) team member, and has implemented programs related to Adventure Based Education, such as low/high ropes, challenge courses, and other outdoor adventure activities. Brett is experienced in numerous specialized topics such as risk management, activity supervision, child abuse, bullying, and crisis management.
