Experts say they wouldn't be surprised to see more cities in Texas prioritizing tree trimming like this in the future.
"You have a power grid where you're on your own, you're not connected to the national grid," explained Chris Larson, a master arborist. "It just puts extra emphasis on being able to quickly and swiftly deal with these outages."
