Biomedical/Biomechanical Expert

A Biomedical/Biomechanical Engineering Expert investigates and analyzes biomechanical and biomedical injuries; injury causation; and medical equipment, devices and implants. Our experts provide investigation, analysis, reports and testimony when technical and scientific answers are needed to help resolve civil and criminal litigation, as well as insurance claims. Our experts reconstruct the injury events to reach conclusions. The areas of potential litigation include: impact and injury biomechanics; orthopedic biomechanics; trauma causation; and, product liability.

A background that includes: casualties caused by vehicle collisions, sports and recreational injuries, occupational injuries and misuse, and medical device warnings and failure, is a perfect fit for this role.

Location:

Any of our offices. Also open to remote candidates with the right experience.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree required
  • Ph.D. preferred
  • Licensed/Registered preferred
  • 10+ years hands-on experience
  • Experience with electrical device failure, such as ventilators, is particularly desirable
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a comprehensive team
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills
