The Human Factors Expert will apply human factors/ergonomics to the psychological and physical aspects of human-system-environment interactions. This application includes the analysis of tasks and jobs involved with tools, machines, consumer products and vehicles in the workplace, roadway, retail, and residential environments.

Location:

Background and knowledge is a higher priority than location. We are open to candidates anywhere in the US. Proximity to a major airport is a plus.

Desired expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Visibility, perception, and human information processing
  • Hazard perception and reaction
  • Driver behavior and performance
  • Ergonomics and workplace safety
  • Warnings and instructions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an MS in Human Factors/Ergonomics from an accredited psychology or industrial engineering program is required;
    Ph.D. is highly desirable
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in a human factors field beyond the M.S. or Ph.D. program
  • Proven ability to work as part of a comprehensive team
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills
