Foster Care: Evaluating Claims of Abuse and Neglect Webinar Series

This webinar will review child abuse and neglect through the perspectives of two different experts. First, licensed clinical social worker, Abigail Rich will discuss the role of child protective services in safeguarding the health and safety of children. Her discussion will describe how an allegation or claim progresses through the system. It will focus upon the objectives of services giving particular emphasis to the common failure points that can leave children susceptible to abuse or neglect.

 

In the second half of this webinar clinical psychologist, Dr. Staci Weiner will discuss the psychological effects of trauma and abuse. Her presentation will cover four functional components of psychological impact and describe the process utilized by clinical psychologists to establish patient baseline data and assess damages.
