Restraint Use in Educational Settings Webinar Series

This video was recorded from the webinar presentation Thursday, February 29, 2024.

The use of restraints in educational settings and residential treatment facilities continues to be commonplace. This is particularly true for students with disabilities. Despite the existence of policies restricting the use of the restraints in educational and residential settings, there are reports each year of students and/or staff being injured, sometimes fatally, as a result of being physically restrained or employing physical restraint methods in schools.

In this 30-minute webinar, special education and school administration expert, Dr. Theresa Kreider will discuss the intended use of restraints in schools, what can go wrong, and factors to consider in an investigation.

Access to this event is reserved for attorneys and insurance professionals. This event is not open to engineers, scientists, or forensic experts outside of Robson Forensic.

This program DOES NOT offer CLE credit.
